2 lbs - New York Strip Steaks
2 Tbsp - Butter, salted
2 Tbsp - Vegetable oil
2 Tbsp - Coarse sea salt
2 Tbsp - Fresh cracked pepper
1 Sprig - Rosemary
Coat your steaks generously on both sides with salt & pepper.
Heat the oil in a cast iron skillet. Be sure to use an oil with a high smoking temperature.
Place the steaks in the hot oiled skillet for about 2 minutes.
Flip the steaks and add the butter & rosemary to the pan. As soon as the butter melts use a spoon to baste the steaks with the hot rosemary flavored butter.
After another 3 minutes flip the steaks again and repeat for another minute.
Remove the steaks from the heat and let them rest for at least 5 minutes. Makes a medium rare steak. For a more well done steak adjust your cook time in 2 minutes increments per side.
Serve with Bravado Spice Creamy Herb & Jalapeño Hot Sauce as a steak sauce.
