A Perfect Steak Recipe


  • 2 lbs New York Strip steaks

  • 1.5 oz Bravado Spice Creamy Herb & Jalapeño Hot Sauce

  • 2 tbsp Butter, salted

  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil

  • 2 tbsp Coarse sea salt

  • 2 tbsp Fresh cracked pepper

  • 1 sprig Fresh rosemary 


  1. 1 Coat your steaks generously on both sides with the salt & pepper.
  2. Heat the oil in a cast iron skillet. Be sure to use an oil with a high smoking temperature.
  3. Place the steaks in the hot, oiled skillet for about 2 minutes.
  4. Flip the steaks and add the butter & rosemary to the pan. As soon as the butter melts, use a spoon to baste the steaks with the hot rosemary flavored butter.
  5. After another 3 minutes, flip the steaks again and repeat for another minute.
  6. Remove the steaks from the heat and let them rest for at least 5 minutes. Makes a medium rare steak. For a more well done steak, adjust your cook time in 2 minute increments per side.
  7. Serve with Bravado Spice Creamy Herb & Jalapeño Hot Sauce as a steak sauce.
