Let’s be honest, store bought party snacks are boring, but they are easy. And cheap. At Bravado, we set out to offer a few party snack mixes that are cheap to create, easy to throw together, and live up to the standard of flavor that Bravado Spice fans expect and love. Cheesy Taco Snack Mix is our latest addition to our snack mix recipes. We wanted to create a more local flavor to Houston. If you know about Houston, you know about tacos! Toasty grains, sharp cheese, and two of our favorite ingredients, garlic and cumin. Each handful gives you airy crisp from the Chex cereal, load crunch from the corn chips, and sharp snap from the cheese crackers. The real magic, the ingredient that makes this stand out from the common snack mix, is the seasoning. Instead of the generic taco seasoning packet, this cheesy taco snack mix recipe uses a generous amount of Bravado Spice Garlic & Arbol Seasoning to really bring out the taco flavors. The chile de árbol brings a clean, smoky heat that compliments the savory flavors of garlic and paprika. We didn’t stop there. Why would we? We added in a little known ingredient that makes this recipe sing. Nutritional yeast. This adds a cheesy, umami depth that makes every piece a slight bit more flavorful.
