This coleslaw recipe, perfected to be the ultimate side for Texas BBQ, is all of those things. We threw out the rules for traditional, overly sweet slaw and created a version with real character. Our signature slaw starts with a classic, tangy dressing made with creamy mayonnaise and sharp Dijon mustard. But the secret that makes it ours is a healthy dose of Bravado Spice Ghost Pepper & Blueberry Hot Sauce. This is what gives the slaw its unique personality. The ghost pepper provides a slow-building, profound heat that cuts right through the richness of the mayo, while a subtle fruitiness from the blueberry rounds out the edges of the heat. The result is a slaw that hits every note: it's creamy, crunchy, tangy, and finishes with a satisfying, fiery kick. Ingredients

2 ½ c coleslaw mix (green cabbage, shredded carrots & red cabbage)

Âź c mayonnaise

Âź TBSP Bravado Spice Ghost Pepper & Blueberry Hot Sauce

½ TBSP Dijon mustard

ž TBSP fresh lemon juice

1 Âź TBSP rice wine vinegar

2 TBSP sugar

Âź tsp salt

Âź tsp cracked black pepper
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, add your coleslaw mix. Set aside.
In a small bowl or jar combine the dressing ingredients- mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, rice wine vinegar, sugar, salt, black pepper and Bravado Spice Ghost Pepper & Blueberry Hot Sauce. Stir until well combined and the sugar is dissolved.
Drizzle the dressing over the coleslaw mix and toss until well-combined.
Put coleslaw into the refrigerator for at least 10 min before serving or even longer. Coleslaw is best served cold.
Recipe Note
- The Cabbage: Using a pre-made coleslaw mix is a great time-saver, but you can absolutely shred your own green and red cabbage with some carrots for an even fresher crunch.
- For a Lighter Dressing: If you want a less rich dressing, you can substitute half of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt. It will be tangier and just as delicious.
- Make it Ahead: This slaw is best if you let it chill in the fridge for at least 20-30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together. It can be made a few hours ahead of time.
- The Vinegar: If you don't have rice wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar is a great substitute that works well with the other flavors.
