Recipe Notes

  • The Mix-Ins: Feel free to swap things out. You can use different cereals, add nuts like pecans or cashews, or toss in some bagel chips. It's a great "clean out the pantry" recipe.
  • For a Gluten-Free Version: Use gluten-free pretzels, gluten-free crackers, and a certified gluten-free variety of Chex cereal (like Rice or Corn Chex).
  • Make it Cheesy: For an extra layer of savory flavor, toss the mix with ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese along with the butter and seasoning before baking.
