Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet on high. Add sesame oil. When the oil begins to glisten, add the bell pepper and chicken and lightly brown. Add the black pepper and stir.
  2. When the chicken is cooked through, add the pineapple and continue to cook, stirring frequently.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-high and add the minced garlic, stirring to combine. Cook another 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, Bravado Spice Pineapple & Habanero Hot Sauce and white sesame seeds.
  5. Cook until the sauce has thickened, stirring regularly throughout the process. Once thickened, remove from heat.
  6. Serve over white rice.

Recipe Notes

  • The Protein: This recipe works great with shrimp, pork, or even crispy fried tofu for a vegetarian version.
  • The Pineapple: Both fresh and canned pineapple work perfectly here. If you use canned, make sure it's packed in juice, not heavy syrup, and drain it well.
  • Make it Tropical: To lean into the tropical vibe, try serving this over coconut rice. The mild sweetness of the rice is a fantastic complement to the spicy sauce.
