Spicy Tomato Gnocchi
Transform your weeknight dinner with this rich and spicy creamy gnocchi, ready in just 30 minutes. Soft, pillowy gnocchi are tossed in a smooth tomato cream sauce spiked with Serrano & Basil Hot Sauce for an unforgettable meal.
Ingredients

store-bought gnocchi
1 C
reserved pasta water
1 Tbsp
butter
1/2 Tbsp
olive oil
1
white onion, chopped
2 Tbsp
minced garlic
2 Tbsp
tomato paste
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1/3 c
heavy cream
freshly-grated parmesan cheese
fresh basil or chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook gnocchi according to package directions, reserving 1 cup of reserved pasta water.
- In a skillet, heat the butter and olive oil. Add the onions and sauté the onions until translucent but slightly golden. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute more. Add the salt and pepper, stirring to combine.
- Add the tomato paste and cook for about 1 minute, allowing the raw flavor to cook off. Add the pasta water and stir gently. Add the hot sauce and stir.
- Add the gnocchi and slightly reduce heat, allowing the sauce to slightly thicken. If too thick, slowly add more pasta water.
- Remove from skillet from heat. Top with parmesan before serving.
- Garnish with fresh basil, parsley and/or more parmesan cheese.
- Enjoy!
